Thunderbirds-ish with Powers.

We don’t have a Champions Now title yet, but our 2 statements:

• Powers are dangerous and weird. Treated as fringe by the media and wanted by cryptid hunters.
• Defending humanity against foreign diseases worldwide.  

I got the ball rolling with a rough one sheet(see below) with some ideas for concept and setting as per Champions Now. Then we spent a good part of an hour talking it all out. The initial character concepts are a researcher who may or may not fabricate data for spin purposes and the ability to break right angles. A logistical operator with shrinking and density powers. And an absent-minded professor (possibly tech-focused). They troubleshoot hot spots globally on behalf of an organization that is proactive about the fight vs foreign diseases. 

Dr. Lira Clark is the main antagonist. One player has put a good chunk of his situation points into this NPC. We’ve decided she’s pretty foundational to the yet-to-be-named organization.

This is the first group of Team-ups to get started. I’m surprised and pretty excited about this premise and I don’t know where it’s going and I love that part! There are two of the Limited Series games that are about to do their session zeros so stay tuned!

I've had an on and off affair with the X-Men comics through adulthood.

Hickman's recent writing-run with House of X/Powers of X was a HOT and Steamy time. I was in love again.

There are LOTS of Superhero settings and games out there in the world. Thank you for supporting one more --for supporting mine. 

Next, Kickstarter does its thing. I'll setup Backerkit and the Lifted website then we play some games!

as for the Apocalypse World: Lifted Hackbook...

--I happened to think The Lifted RPG (PBTA) has a better sound to it 😉

Kickstarter says there are 238 of you project followers, but not yet backers. I'm thinking you might be holding out for the PBTA version of Lifted. 

Me too. 

Could I go back in time, I'd offer them both up from the start. I'd REALLY love to do a Powered-by-the-Apocolypse version of Lifted. I've been running eXorcists, my X-Men + AW: Burned-Over mashup over at the Gauntlet, and a few online cons. I needed to see how a supers AW engine plays IRL, what players do with it - what to mutate. There are some nice mechanics AW/PBTA can bring to a supers game. I'm super interested in tags in play, and a bit more gamey-combat; not more combat moves, but kind of a combat mini-game.  

One day, I'll get better at Kickstarter marketing. 

Right now, though, come adventure with me, we're in good company -let's do this thing!
